Frequently asked questions
Straight answers. Not a pharmacy. Not insurance. Deductible honesty included. Spoken name: Listed Cost. Email: hello@listedcost.com.
These answers match our compliance rules. We do not invent premiums, waitlist counts, or medical advice. Cash and coupons usually do not count toward the insurer deductible.
Are you a pharmacy?
No. ListedCost.com does not dispense medication, accept prescriptions, ship product, or take possession of drugs. We only shop and compare prices — we never fill, ship, or sell medication. Always confirm price, stock, and clinical fit with your pharmacist and clinician.
Do you take insurance on fills?
No — we do not fill prescriptions. If you use insurance, that happens at your plan pharmacy. We shop and compare price options so you can choose a better path before you fill. We are not an insurer and not a PBM.
Do pay-direct prices (or coupons) count toward my deductible?
Usually no. Paying without insurance (pay-direct) and coupons usually do not count toward your insurer deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Compare that price to your plan pharmacy quote before you decide.
What is Amazon RxPass $5?
Amazon RxPass is $5 per month for an eligible list of meds — not a per-pill price. Confirm the drug is on the published list and that you qualify in your Amazon Pharmacy account. Listed Cost does not enroll you in RxPass.
How fresh are the prices?
We re-check within 14 days or mark the cell UNKNOWN. UNKNOWN means not verified yet — we could not confirm a listed price for that option on the check date. It is not free and not a quote. Re-check where you pay.
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
We do not run HSA or FSA cards. Ask your plan administrator and the pharmacy where you fill about eligibility. Paying cash or using a coupon usually still does not count toward your insurer deductible, even if an HSA/FSA card can pay the bill.
Do you sell my waitlist or drug list?
No. We do not sell your email or optional drug names. Delete anytime via hello@listedcost.com. Do not send prescription photos, SSNs, or member IDs.
Will you fill or ship my medication?
No. We never ship, hold, or dispense product. Confirm price, stock, and clinical fit with your pharmacist and clinician. You buy direct where you choose.
Do you cover controlled substances or GLP-1s?
No controlled substances in our comparisons. We are not focused on GLP-1 or weight-loss compound drugs right now. We compare prices for common generics.
Do you handle Medicare or Medicaid?
We do not enroll members or process Medicare or Medicaid claims. Coverage questions, if any, go through a separate agency partner (coming soon) — not through this price comparison. ListedCost.com is not Healthcare.gov.
How is Listed Cost different from GoodRx or Cost Plus?
GoodRx and Cost Plus are options we show with text labels and prices we checked, each with a check date. Listed Cost puts those options side by side for you. We only use public websites. We do not invent dollar prices. The better path for you may be paying without insurance, a coupon, your plan pharmacy, or a split list.
How do you pick a winner?
The winner is the lowest total we checked (price plus typical shipping), or USE INSURANCE (use your plan pharmacy), or SPLIT (fill some meds one way and some another), or UNKNOWN if the check is older than 14 days. RxPass is $5/month for an eligible list of meds, not a per-pill price. We never promise the guaranteed cheapest price.
Do you send my prescription to the pharmacy?
No. We do not send your prescription to anyone. Your clinician and the pharmacy handle the prescription. You buy direct where you choose — we do not fill or ship.
Who is this for?
For: households with 2 or more ongoing generic meds, people on a high-deductible plan or paying cash, and people who can wait for mail. Not for: same-day antibiotic urgency, controlled substances, a weight-loss compound (GLP-1) focus, or expecting us to fill.
How do I delete my waitlist entry?
Email hello@listedcost.com from the address you used and we will remove your waitlist entry. You can also ask us to correct your name, ZIP, or optional drug notes.
Will this cost money?
The waitlist is free. Household membership is planned at $7/month or $69/year when the price table and household list are ready. We will not charge you on this site until that exists. There is no checkout here.
Is membership a coupon card?
No. You are paying for the comparison and the list, not a discount we honor at a register. Membership is not Amazon RxPass, not GoodRx Gold, and not a pharmacy membership.
Can I use insurance and still be a member?
Yes. Sometimes the better option is your plan pharmacy. That is the point of the comparison.
What's the difference between Coverage and Listed Cost?
Listed Cost compares public pay-without-insurance and coupon prices. Coverage is an optional, separate path for insurance quotes through an agency partner (coming soon) in licensed states (coming soon). ListedCost.com is not an insurance company and is not Healthcare.gov. A cash winner on our price table does not pick your coverage path. Agency contact coming soon.
Do you scrape prices?
No. We do not scrape PBMs, insurers, or pharmacies. We use public pages and published lists — Cost Plus public site, Amazon RxPass published basket list, manual GoodRx checks until an API exists, and Walmart $4 against the published list. Partner data waits for a signed agreement. We never invent dollar prices.
